i went out with a guy a few nights ago that was 9 years older than me. we had a great time and are both interested in a 2nd date...but i question whether he was playing young and i was playing older....so that we seemed to mesh....or were we really just compatible and totally ourselves? i felt natural, but was that just playing to the audience?
hard to know because i think i was on my "best behavior" and trying not to reference too many "wild grad school" stories or reference stories that were clearly time stamped with my young age, such as "that is so cool that they have a projecter in here, my parents used to have one..." and he says..."yeah, i had one of those growing up and loved to watch slide shows...." yes- that convo happened!
i guess date 2 will reveal the answer to that question of how much age skews date behavior....
