are carnations the only romance left?

when your date arrives at your doorstep...all nervous with a bouquet of carnations, clearly just picked up the gas station, you say, "thanks! thats so sweet of you..." then you, proceed to find a vase to put them on water to show your appreciation....knowing full well that your friends are going to make fun of him as soon as you get home for his poor choice of flowers....you feel bad, but you know they are ugly and dump them in the trash....well, at least romance is not dead,...just carnations!
