antagonism is attractive...?

i met a guy online who lived in LA. i dont normally see the point in starting something long distance having never even met before, but we seemed to have a great connection over the phone.....SO, we meet.

within 5 minutes, it was incredibly antagonistic & he was just irritating the shit out of me. i kept disagreeing for sake of disagreeing and argued with him about most dumb, obnoxious things he was saying. i thought it was obvious how horrible the date was going, as i progressively got bitchier and bitchier. somehow various first date topic no-no's were raised, discussed, and debated, from birth control & abortion, first time, past girlfriends, sex with past girlfriends, superficiality around looks, etc.

i, of course, leave thinking...wow, that was bad. i was annoying. who would EVER like someone that bitchy? i so obviously made it clear i much i did not like him either. no confusion here.

WRONG. he was still VERY interested...actually, MORE interested.

Since when has bitchiness and antagonism turned attractive?!
