freedom from expectation

cuz only with expectation comes real dissapointment....

  1. I don't think all expectations are bad. I think there are certain expectations that are reasonable.
    I think what's dangerous is when those expectations aren't communicated, but they are held onto anyway. Can't expect someone to meet expectations we never told them about.
    The other thing about expectations is that it doesn't excuse us from having to feel and show appreciation for even the things that we would "expect" them to do.
    apparently i have a lot of thoughts about expectations... i could go on... haha

  2. you make a very valid point - it is normal and "expected" to have expecations - we are human, but making those known is important because you cant fault someone for not meeting expectations that they never even knew they were being held to..

    question...if we were able to live our lives with no expectations, would we ever be able to experience true excitement/elation about things that go better than we hoped or do we just live an emotionless life?

    but i go back to the original point - why do we expect anything from anynone? no one owes anything to anyone - to do anything or to be something other than who they are...

    hmmm....

    i have no resolution...
